The purpose of the new site is to provide more features and capabilities for small clubs, and those people who want to take a more active role in walking leadership. There is an improved calendar system where small clubs and individuals can manage thier own calendar. An email alert system allows people to subscribe to calendar events.
Clubs will have the ability to securely store their documents and walk maps, and finally there is a place to show your club photos. The Compass Archive is available and will be loaded with copies as they are scanned. Please have a look, sign up if you wish, and give us some feedback if there is something that you would like to see.
A note about walks and club details: The AVA web site is also being updated and a new feature will be that club or walk information updated on the AVA site will automatically also appear on the new CVA web site. The new CVA web site will wait till this capability is available before adding walks. Otherwise it is a lot of work that will be just thrown away.
