California Volkssport Association (CVA) Home Page

We are a non-profit association of 20 walking clubs located in California. We are all nationally associated with the American Volkssport Association (AVA) and internationally with the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV). Although individuals cannot become members of the CVA, we encourage you to join a local club.

The majority of events are walks, but there are also bicycle rides, cross-county ski events, and swimming events. All events are non-competitive and self paced.. The motto of the AVA is "Fun, Fitness, and Friendship" which pretty much says it all. All events must meet standards set by AVA and the IVV for safety and other factors.
